MS Jaromir Jagr (93) review

I've never seen this guy on anyone's lineup, I almost forgot about him too but when looking for a guy with CG and TT I stumbled upon him and was amazed at how a gem like this could go for only like 325k. So I bought him and haven't regretted it one bit.

SKATING 8.5/10

His skating is like most big guys with TW, it takes a bit for him to get to speed but when he does he'll fly past most defense, definitely not a liability even though looking at the stats might be a turn-off for some. I think his skating is comparable to Sittler and Laine on my team, his accelerating takes as long as Laine and when he gets up to speed it's like Sittler all over again.

SHOOTING 10/10

Heaviest. Absolutely adore his shot, it's not lacking anything. It's quite a bit different than like Bure's or Kane's shot, it has that oomph behind it and it really feels like it should go through the net. Accuracy is on point and absolutely nothing wrong with his wrister or his slapper. Honestly probably my favorite shot of the year.

HANDS 9.5/10

After synergies his passing is 102, his puck control is 98 and hand-eye 99. He isn't the fastest but god damn is he reliable. Passes always go through and he's so so so solid with holding the puck. I'm starting to get into more big guys like him, Laine and recently got 93 Kopitar and I can't preach enough how nice it is to have a guy that you can just go through a whole lineup with without losing the puck.

PHYSICAL 9/10

In a lot of reviews I bring up how their body checking is the same or better than Chara's when it doesn't even feel close, but Jagr is pretty god damn solid with 94. Wouldn't put him on defense but he can run over some people and when he's got that speed behind him he can definitely do some 90 Chara damage. Definitely a solid physical player if you're looking to make a line with a bunch of those (my recommendation would be 90 Laine - 93 Kopitar - 93 Jagr).

DEFENSIVE 9/10

Not too shabby I must admit. I don't give forwards a lot of defensive tasks but he's usually checking people in the corners trying to steal that puck back and 9/10 times he's the guy to win any net battle or a puck scramble. Definitely a trustworthy guy with sticklifts and pokechecks, zero penalties so far.

###CONCLUSION

I don't think his MOV is that much more expensive than this one but I'd highly recommend either one, he kinda came out one day and at least I forgot he even existed and was pleased to try him out. If you're questioning my love for him, I was looking to buy MOV McDavid for right wing but couldn't get rid of Jagr, he's just that good.
