Well, i saw some really good deals of both bongs and pipes(marijuana and tobacco) on ebay and i wondered if its legal to import something like that. I know both are available in sri lanka, but ebay merchandise is very cheap compared with them.

They never check small packet deliveries. Just don't use DHL or FedEx.
You sure about that? Also a bong or a pipe is actually bigger than an average small parcel right?
Bongs may have different sizes but pipes are almost the same. Most of the sellers use small packets/ epackets or whatever you call them.
Shouldn't be a problem. It may just take a bit and you may have to go to the post office to pick it up. They will probably try and tax it. If the tax seems unreasonable just argue with them and offer a lower amount. You could also show them how much you actually paid for it and get a duty on that.
Also I haven't seen any glass products in SL.
You shouldn't have any fear of the post office besides the fact that they are stuck in the 1980s.

Get a tracking number if you can. Notices don't always arrive. Also don't send express mail.
Okay A, anything that comes via eBay needs to be processed by the post office. You don't want to go there trust me.
Just find your closet headshop. Much easier. I got a nice bong for 2.5k.
I one waited an hour to obtain a ebay package because a single letter was missing from teh address. Can't imagine the process of getting into trouble ordering this. Yeah, have to try the local shop it seems. But that awesome bong for 10$ though....
