I just completed Call of Juarez Gunslinger. I love it. Recommend me something similar.

Single player story FPS/TPS i enjoyed very much:

Call of Juarez Gunslinger

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Portal series

Borderlands series

Spec ops: The line

Medal of Honor

Saints Row: The Third

Edit: i'm on PC

Looking at gameplay videos, looks like something i'll enjoy. Most Steam recent reviews are complains of GFWL and game's not working, but there's a workaround. I'll consider. Thanks the suggestion!

There's a remaster coming out later in the year so I'd wait for that to go on sale. It's fun but GFWL was definitely work to get around.

Call of Juarez Gunslinger is pretty unique. I played Call of Juarez, the first one, after Gunslinger and while it's not as good, it has it's moments. I'm planning on grabbing Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood next time it goes on sale.

Dying Light (also by Techland, maker of Call of Juarez Gunslinger) if you liked Borderlands I think you'll appreciate Dying Light.

The Talos Principle I've just started playing this. Some obvious Portal comparisons because it's puzzle based, but there seems to be a story to unravel.

BioShock play them in order of release and all the story DLC, don't look up spoilers. If the combat is difficult for you, I can give you a hint.

The Stanley Parable, then playDr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist, then play The Begginer's Guide

I'm looking for something new. I may get first and second Juarez on next sale tho.

Dying Light ahh zombies. Watched totalbiscuit WTF Is during its hype. A game to consider but the price is pretty steep.

The Talos Principle Iooked it up. The puzzles can be difficult to solve.

I own Bioshock 1 & 2. I got 2 hours on Bioshock 1. I'll try bioshock again! Please share with me combat hint.

The Stanley Parable, Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist, The Begginer's Guide interesting, but I'm looking for a shooty game.

Thanks for all of the suggestions!

BioShock: Shock Jockey plasmid then Wrench combination to kill, especially early game. Wrench can be the most overall powerful weapon if you upgrade it properly

If you have extra mouse keys it helps to bind one to quickswap between plasmid and weapon, it also helps to bind one to your camera once you get it (use the camera a lot).

Freeze the machines before hacking. Hack everything.

Dying Light goes on sale often.

I have 2 additional mouse buttons. Great tip! This makes me excited already. I guess i'll try Bioshock before Dying Light

try the first two call of juarez games. they are both fairly different and ofcourse very different from the gunslinger. mainly they dont have the arcade elements like combos, the constant narration and leveling up.

also try max payne series. definitely one of the best TPS out there.

mass effect series could be considered TPS to be honest.

May get first 2 Juarez on sale. Worried i'll be disappointed due to the goodness of gunslinger.

Max Payne Mass Effect if you got to decide on one. Which would you choose?

Thanks.

First two Call of Juarez games are similar to Gunslinger except they lack: leveling, constant presence of the narrator, combos and other arcade stuff. They are a bit more serious games, have quite a lot of open-ish levels.

Max Payne and Mass effect games while being primarily third person shooters are way too different to easily make that decision. a few points:

max payne is more moody and realistic.

mass effect is straight out scifi.

max payne games while related to each other are much more loosely related than mass effect games.

mass effect has loads more dialogs since its an rpg.

max payne is primarily an action game, so the only dialog is in the cutscenes without any choices.

max payne has bullet time (slomo) as one of the main mechanics in every game. mass effect might have that as a some class skill in probably 2nd and 3rd games, cant remember.

mass effect has replay value, max payne not as much.

mass effect has companions, max payne doesnt except in rare cases.

Juarez i'll look into gameplay videos. Most probably getting them on sale.

Thanks for the detailed comparison. I leaning towards Max Payne.

dont forget to get Mass Effect at some point tho!

speaking of which, while the series is best played in a normal fashion, mass effect 2 is currently given away for free (claim and keep it forever) on origin. yeah i know, everybody loves steam, but hey.

SUPERHOT?

TypicalPebbleOP•

I completed the prototype of SUPERHOT.

Cool concept. Is the full game worth it?Thanks

1
hritter•

Yes. It only has a few short levels but there are tons of modes so its exponentially bigger. For example, there's a mode where you only have a knife etc.

Red Dead Redemption?

Sorry i'm on PC. Seems like there will be a PC port coming this year.

1
Joseph-Joestar•

Nothing like that. RDR is not coming to PC in any shape or form, sorry.

3
TypicalPebbleOP•

You are right.

I should have done more research. RDR will be on Playstation Now. It's a subscription service that streams games to PS4 and PC. Oh well.

Katana314•

In terms of fast paced shooters, you haven't mentioned DOOM 2016 which was very highly reviewed. I really enjoyed it.

2
TypicalPebbleOP•

I stopped at 28 minutes of DOOM demo. I'll try to complete it before deciding.

Heard many good things about DOOM and Totalbiscuit's top 2 game of 2016.
