Best Ottawa Flight School for PPP

Hi all, just looking for a recommendation from someone who has gotten their Private Pilots Licence at one of the schools/clubs in the Ottawa area. Good/bad experiences? Which flying club do you recommend?

Im looking to start my PPP in April.

I hear that the Ottawa Flying club is really good, I have a few friends doing it there some privately and some through Algonquin college's Aviation Management Program

Ottawa Aviation Services is great IMO. Most of the people there are training with a career in aviation planned, and the curriculum and attitude reflects that. Instructors are top notch, along with the CFI (Chief Flight Instructor). Training at the international airport has major advantages over training somewhere small like Carp or Rockliffe/Gatineau. Drop in and try an introductory flight, and see how you like it. Winter is a bit slow at any flight school in this area, but April should have a smaller number of weather cancellations and the like.

PPL ;)

I recommend OFC, but I suppose it depends on the planes you want to train in too. OFC: C172s and C150s, Beech Duchess for multi...OAS: Katanas

I have nothing but good things to say about OFC and my experiences there. Good staff, good club, and highly recommend the great training you get flying out of an intl airport and class C airspace everyday. You get comfortable with radio work and the daily transition from C to Terminal to practice area airspaces...and then the reverse coming home.

I don't think OAS flies Katanas anymore ... they've pretty much fully switched to C172s (and I believe a PA-31 for multi ... that being said, RFC is also a great place for PPL training. If you're looking for more of a career in flying, then OFC is probably better suited. If you're looking at flying more as a hobby, then I'd definitely recommend you check out RFC
