My 99 Datsyuk Review

I dont have his stats, because ive reset them a shit ton of times, but lets say like, pretty good.

Hes played on the first line RW for the majority of the time centered by Mov Toews and Movi on the opposite side.

I have never put more pressure on a card to perform well ever. I figure hes a 99 literally everywhere, so he should be my best performer every game. Well, thats just not fair to do, so i am going to try and put that aside for the review.

Skating: 10/10

Now Datsyuk fucking flys. I understand theres alot of players that can have 99 speed/acceleration etc... at this point, but Datsyuk just has that special something that really makes him torch past people. I had already shown this video before in OT. He started that period out and we were two minutes in, so a little tired already and he still burns everybody. He will do that every game, with or without dekes, its unreal.

Hands: Great googly moogly/10

The Magic Man was done justice. Idk if I've ever missed a deke with him. He executes every move so perfectly and fast, that it makes it very easy to carve a defense with him. I have several million clips of examples, but ill only linka few because i know you guys don't want all of them:

Shooting: 8/10

Now heres my real qualm with dats. Hes an excellent player, but he will not score really for me unless he really gets space from dekes. He doesn't seem to be able to just pull up and snipe, which is something I love in alot of my players. Hes just not the best at it. I had a couple clips of real snipes, but i seem to have lost them. One was a blue line OT winner, but its gone and the other was a short side slap from the outter dot.

Passing 10/10

Now I found this one hard to grade, but Im sticking with 10. He plays with Movi on the other side and Mov Toews in the middle, so obviously he'll rack up some apples. But Ovi's at the point where hes a goal per game for me and that wasnt happening when Crosby was at the other wing. Datsyuk's great passing combined with his ability to create space so easily makes him the most threatening playmaker in the game in my opinion. He will carve up a d, making them throw more people at him leaving wide open opportunities for anyone waiting for the 1t.

Defense 8/10

I think this ones pretty up in the air for most forwards. He does the basics great by getting back, get the occasional poke check out on someone with an edge and he can lay down a hit once in a while. Overall, I think defensively he does nothing to stand out, but I dont expect him to. I will say though, he's always my first guy out in OT, and he does pressure very well when they are in my zone.

Misc: SYnergies don't really matter for him, but hes nice if you have those one or two guys with FM and can get it done. CG and DD are his other two worthwhile ones, the others are to new. Datsyuk is the best OT player ever. He has ended many games in OT for me, and its great because if hes not out there, you have Richards on the other line for switching back and fourth to for maximum stamina/faceoffs/cheese. Last, its the Magic Man. Even if he bums me out sometime and hes kind of pricey, how could you not want him on your team?

Overall, obviously if you have the coin, hes worth the pickup. Hes not even close to the most expensive player in the game on XB1 as hes barely hovering over a million. For 99 in literally everything, thats not bad at all, considering Movi, Mov Crosby, Mov Tarasenko and Mov Karlsson are all pretty much 2 mil+ and they wont end with stats like that. I would however recommend you have some deking ability to really take advantage of him. I also use him on the wing due to his speed, so i dont know how well he is at center, probably amazing. Maybe he'll move to center when I have enough for someone amazing for a 1/2 RW slot.
