MOV Matthews 89 Review.

I have had Matthews in my Lineup since the last day of the MOV Trio set. His 84 was on my 4th line and was scoring more than 2nd liners, he kept getting better and better with each upgrade and now here we are at 89.

Skating: 9/10 He has a wonderfully big body with some speed and he is very agile for his size. I have TW on so that gives him a little more edge than usual but he can really fly, he does not get knocked off the puck easy either which is a huge concern for me.

Shooting: 9.5/10 I don't know how this kid does it but I pick more corners with Matthews than other people with stats exceeding him. His wrister is so deadly coming into the slot he can snipe any corner you want and he has an awesome shot motion that not a lot of people can stop. Quick fast powerful, he buries one timers for me as well. Don't use his slapshot that much but the times I do, BANG.

Hands:9.5/10 I really like Matthews hands, they are very silky and the MOV I have DD activated so that could help but He is really good at the windmill deke into the zone he can almost always snag it in traffic. With his big body, its very hard to get it away from him. He makes everything look and feel so easy. Effortless water transitioning.

Defense: 8/10 He can lay the body on people with his big frame and keep up with the speedsters. My favorite part about him is is long poke check and I mean LONG almost up to par with how long McDavid can stretch out and poke. Other than that haven't noticed much defensive prowess.

Miscellaneous: He always is around the net establishing himself getting deflections left and right. He get a lot of those rebound mid air goal chip ins as well.

Overall: 9/10 he is really fun to play with and can get the job done wherever you put him, his MOV is around 300k or so and I mean you could get another better card for that price but having a MOV is exciting and you get to watch him play and maybe get an upgrade. Especially with the way he is going he is on fire so expect for him to only get better and better as the season progresses.
