ASG 92 Justin Faulk Review

Faulk has been one of my favorite defenders in the game the last 3 years. I followed every card he has had this year waiting for one with the right synergies, I had is 91 TOTW which had 3 syns I did not use, he is one of the only players I let in my line up with totally opposite synergies. Now here comes his 92 ASG card with 2 TW and 2S, Those are the PERFECT syns that I needed, I was failing to keep S activated on my MOV McDavid because there isn't a plethora of players I liked with the S synergy.

Skating: 10/10 I have TW and S activated so his Speed is 97, Acceleration 98, Agility 100, 91 balance, and 96 endurance. The stats speak for themselves he is a monster, when I give him the puck I find myself not passing much and just blasting up the ice weaving in and out of defenders with EASE. He can go coast to coast and by the time he buries the puck my opponent never knows what the fuck hit them. Smooth water like feeling on skates and his shiftiness is steller, he can quick turn and stop on a dime. Can skate right along side MOV mcdavid and Richards with ease. Actually think he may be a bit faster than both.

Shooting: 9.5/10 94 Slapshot pwr 89 Accuracy, 93 Wristshot power 89 Accuracy. He can flat out score, any way and any where from the ice, whether its from the point blasting a clapper through everyone or going end to end sniping top shelf he can and will get it done. He plays more like a forward for me than a defensemen because he is just that good. Quick strong shot, up there with all of the elite forwards you would have on your first line.

Hands: 9.7/10: Faulk lands his dekes left and right and with my CG activated he has 97 puck control and all the rest of the hand stats are above 90. His back and forth stick motion feels faster than mostly anyone in the game other than crosby and kane. He can just shift the puck to wherever he wants it keeping it away from defenders with ease. 91 balance helps him not get knocked off the puck. Hands of god I call him Datsyuk 2.0. He can carry it through traffic which you will notice when he zooms through the other players whole team.

Passing: 10/10 97 overall passing with CG activated 95 base. with his amazing hands he can position the puck very well and put himself in the right position to get a great easy soft or hard pass off.

Defense: 10/10 dude has a 99 stick checking base with no synergies. That alone is a stand out stat that transfers to the ice extremely well, It is a controlled poke check, it does not go flying across the ice any which way it is really controlled which I love. He get A LOT and I mean A LOT of breakaways due to his poke check and ability to pick it right back up after knocking it off the opponents stick. 90 body checking so he can really lay the body and wreck some people not expecting it 90 strength as well. He is in my opinion the best defender in the game due to his poke checking and naaang speed to catch up with people like Bure and just ruin their whole offensive possession. I like him more than the beloved Brent Burns which is a shoot, not joking I love BB but I would take Faulk any day.

Miscellaneous: 2 TW and 2 S are really good Synergies in my opinion people will pay 100k over prices just for the TW syn. You will always be aware when Faulk is on the ice, he is corrupting every offensive play against the opponent. His speed and Offensive ability will always creep up on your opponent. They will be focusing on your Top 6 forwards and Faulk will jump right into the rush and 9 times out of 10 for me he will keep the puck go in and create a scoring chance. He can be an amazing D man for anyone who uses him or easily a top 6 forward. I have used him in both positions and he is nothing short of a superstar.

Overall: 10/10 Just plain out fun card to use. He will surprise your opponents when he is doing all the scoring and running the offensive zone when they will be focused on your top 6 forward guys. I love him and with his 2 TW syn his price will stay up and he would be a great trading token when you need extra cash though I would never ever sell him. Easily my favorite card on my team right now that can be used at D or Forward.
