Questions regarding Southampton game the 22th. April.
Strongly considering to take a trip to London in april, been over a year since the last time. And it would have been great to catch 2 games in less then 1 week.
The week I have eyed out is the week we play Southampton (22th april), and the only way for me to catch a second game is if we still are in the FA cup.
So now to the problem, if we still are in the cup when the semis roll by, they are scheduled to run 22th and 23th off april. I suppose that means the Southampton game will be moved.
Questions:
-
Is the game likely to be moved to earlier the same week, or in the start of the week after?
-
What happens if I now buy a ticket to the Southampton game, and it gets moved? Is that ticket only valid for the Saints game, or will it exchange for a ticket to the FA Cup game?
Any help is highly appreciated.

The answer to the second question is simply... You are buying a ticket to Chelsea v SOUTHAMPTON...
Which is pretty shit when you are planning a trip overseas, and have to plan / order flight some time ahead. :(
Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait until 5th round and quarter-finals are done, to be 100% sure.
It's just how it works. Tbh they're not really designed to accommodate people who are only available for a short time. The prices and seating allocations for FA Cup games are different, it wouldn't be possible to do an exchange like you describe.
Bear in mind there's no guarantee that we get drawn at home in the next round even if we go through, so you might have trouble getting away tickets, although home FA Cup tickets should be easy enough to get hold of.
Waiting until the draw like you said is probably your best bet
To be fair if worst case scenario for you, best for Chelsea, and we are in the semis. Then you can always put the tickets on sale on the exchange
Then don't schedule your trip over a possible FA Cup weekend.
