Asian Porn Star Jeremy Long joins us on Thursday, February 9 at 6:30 PM (PST) for an AMA. Post your Questions here!

Update 3 8:30 PM PST: And that's a wrap! TY to Jeremy for spending the evening with us. You got to a remarkable # of questions in a short time. We'll be publishing highlights from the interview on Kulture. It's clear that you've made a lot of sacrifices to push the envelope on the image of the Asian male in America - we're glad we have someone like you doing what you're doing! We'll be there to support you.

Update 2 7:37 PM PST: hey folks we're one hour in. Just a heads up- you all have asked great questions and a lot of them, but the reality is that JL may not be able to get to all of them. He's only human and we said this would wrap up at 8:30. I see new questions keep getting added, so just want to let folks know. If your question doesn't get answered, don't take it personal.

Update 6:29 PM PST: Jeremy (/u/JeremyLong) is here live. Here's his message to the sub:

Hey what’s up everyone! Thanks for inviting me to this. I’ve never really been on Reddit but this thing you guys are running seems awesome. Per request here’s my cock-pic verification: http://imgur.com/nI2Mvb9. :)

My buddy at BigAsianPackage told me about Kulture, which I thought was incredible I reached out to them and they asked me to do this “AMA” thing, so here I am. I can’t commit to a literal ask me anything but I’m a very open person and I’d like to be as transparent as possible but there are a few topics/issues I’d like to avoid getting into, mainly person details/information. My real name isn’t Jeremy Long, and while I’ve gotten a lot of support and love, I’ve also gotten a lot of hate. I was born and raised in California and am full East Asian. You can probably figure out which specific nationality by my tattoos but I very much embrace my identity as pan-asian and mainly grew up with Viet people so I'm very Viet-washed lol.

Sorry this is my first time using Reddit and I can't figure out show to make any type or post besides a reply, so I'm forced to make this into as a reply. Apologies to the poster above, I'll get to your question soon:. http://m.imgur.com/nI2Mvb9 oops link above wasn't working, hope this one does

#Ever wonder what life is like as one of the very few Asian-American male pornstars in the business??!

Jeremy Long will be doing an AMA right here on r/AznIdentity at 6:30 PM (PST) this Thursday. The AMA is being coordinated by Kulture (Asian-American media watchdog organization advocating for quality representation of Asian-Americans.). He'll be answering your questions, so give it some thought and post a good one!

For background: You can check out an interview of [Jeremy Long in AmpedAsia] (http://www.ampedasia.com/article/this-asian-guy-became-a-pornstar-to-prove-against-that-1-asian-stereotype/) where he talks about his life as a porn star breaking stereotypes. See his: NextShark interview and interview in DailyCal. Also, you can check out his Twitter profile here (note: Not Safe for Work).

Long, through his work, is breaking stereotypes of Asian men as asexual and unmasculine. To his credit, a lot of Asians even who would be qualified, shy away from porn because of concerns of "face" and the like; but the fact that he dove right in reflects his seriousness on doing something about the problem.

Regarding the AMA:

• Please note that Jeremy has a career in which he works with people from all walks of life. This AMA will be public so he has to be mindful of what he shares. Obviously, he won't want to burn bridges, etc. Bear that in mind when you ask questions & be respectful.

• He won't be able to get to every question, so don't be bummed if yours doesn't get answered. Also, he'll try to provide one response to the question but may not necessarily be able to continue responding on an ongoing dialogue back and forth. Please don't post more than two questions per person.

Mods will be on hand to deal with trolls and the like.

That's it - ask away.
