[Announcement] We now have a Discord chat room & server!

I remember reading somewhere a while ago that there should have a chat room for flippers, and after 5 minutes of extensive google research, I decided to go with Discord as our platform!

For those of you with actual lives who are not familiar with Discord, it's a voice & text chat program similar to Skype and Teamspeak, but with a sleek & easy to use UI and no ads (Fuck you Skype) It's primarily meant for gamers, but the program is easy to use & lightweight enough for casual users, too!

Here's a permanent invite link to our group: https://discord.gg/2pqSWxu

the link should take you to the browser version of the app automatically, and it does not require you to install anything to your computer (for those with privacy & virus concerns). Though I think that the program version of the app is very good and you should install it.

If you want the Discord iphone app, you can get it on itunes here

If you want the Discord app for Android devices, here's the link

The main reason that I choose Discord is probably the ease of invites and how smooth their mobile apps are.

I hope that this will be an extra way for flippers in interact outside of this subreddit. Plus, there are so many cool & useful things that you can do, for example, you can take pictures of something while you're at a thrift, so the nerds in the chat room can tell you to look up the listing price on eBay. I'll be creating different rooms for different chat topics as more user joins.

I'll be moderating the group personally for now, I'm on my computer 80% of the time anyways, and now that we have a Discord group, everyone can publicly witness my crippling video game addiction (I'm up to 90 hours in the past 2 weeks according to Steam, and that doesn't include Hearthstone, please send help.)

Anyways, I'm looking forward to chatting with you guys (I'm not doing voice chat for now, though.)
