Skating - 8.5/10
He is not super quick off the line and doesn't turn as quickly as smaller forwards but once he gets up to speed he moves along nicely. Obviously TW would help quite a bit here. He is super strong on the puck and when he gets hit he doesn't go down easily.
Hands - 7.5/10
Didn't try many dekes with him but he was able to control the puck well on the cycle. His passing is rated 86 and it feels about like that. Decent but nothing to write home about.
Shooting - 8.5/10
Because I knew I was going to write this I managed to capture some video of the shots I scored with him. I scored 4 goals in 3 games with him against mediocre competition in CS.
Here are three of them:
The 4th goal was him fighting off a check in front of the net to pop in a rebound. As you can see from the clips he has a cannon. With SF on he has a clapper that is 98/87 and wrister that is a 97/88.
Checking - 9/10
This guy can wreck some people. At 6'2" 205lbs he plenty big enough to hit almost anyone. He laid out a few people in the handful of games I played. His pokecheck was good enough from what I could tell.
Defense - 7.0/10
Mostly didn't notice him on defense. He wasn't making mistakes but wasn't making amazing plays either. Don't think I would want to kill penalties with him because of speed.
Awareness - 8.5/10
His offensive awareness is very good. He was in position for one timers and for the cycle. No real complaints here. His defensive awareness seems fine but not special.
He had 4 goals in 3 games. This was competitive seasons on one of my alts. If you need a cheap big left shot he seems to fit the bill.
More expensive options: S1/S2 Jamie Benn (60k/???), he honestly reminds me more of like a left handed Corey Perry.
Cheaper options: S1 Rick Nash costs about the same and plays similarly
