[WTT Guidelines]
Welcome to r/waiting_to_try! This is a community for people waiting to try to start a family. Whether you're waiting due to finances, moving, travel, school, or anything else... welcome!
About WTT
-
There is a daily thread stickied at the top where anyone can talk about what's on his/her mind that day. You can introduce yourselves here or make your own post.
-
There is a weekly graduate thread sticked at the top as well. "Graduating" means you're done waiting and you're moving on to one of the other subreddits, like r/TryingForABaby, or r/WTT_graduates. If you're done waiting/no longer preventing pregnancy, please post in this weekly thread to share your story and excitement! Please keep all graduation-related topics in this thread.
-
WTT can be an emotional topic and we ask that you keep this in mind. Above all, be kind and respectful. Hostile or rude comments will not be tolerated and will be removed.
-
We have flair! On the sidebar, where it says "Show my flair on this subreddit" you can add your WTT end date or any other info.
-
Please follow the posting guidelines listed below. If your topic is related to trying to get pregnant, possibly being pregnant, or is otherwise pregnancy-focused, one of the other subreddits may be a better fit. If a post is unrelated to waiting to try you may be asked to remove it.
Posting Guidelines
There are many pregnancy-related subreddits, each one meeting different needs. Guidelines are below:
For anyone graduating and no longer preventing pregnancy. There are daily threads with topics that repeat each week.
For anyone trying to get pregnant and to ask/give advice on getting pregnant. They have a weekly BFP (big fat positive) thread where you can announce a pregnancy. They also have daily general threads where you can share OPKs (ovulation predictor kits) and get advice. Extensive subreddit list in the sidebar.
For anyone wanting advice on charting or OPKs.
For anyone who thinks they may be pregnant and needs a test result interpreted.
For pregnant redditors (and spouses) or those who have been pregnant.
