Question - Stampede Gears
For those of you who have had broken stampede gears, which ones broke first? Use this diagram from LZ mods.
Also, I don't see it breaking, but is the pinion gear (gear on the motor shaft) susceptible as well?

For me it was the number 3 but the small piece attach to it. I taught 6kg was OK I guess not, since it was on a 3s lipo. If I was to finish my new stampede mod I would just be a 4kg spring. I think that might be good kg at higher volatages. As all the big springs wreck stampede internals.
The. Voltage doesn't matter. The spring load does. However, mine has been running ~8 kg for about six months and shows no signs of wear. I don't think that's normal.
Dang Iight have thrifted a weak stampede. I'll probably thrift another and salvage it's gears to my already modded one and see how it holds up. I was thinking the increase in fire rate caused to much stress on the German is why what I was guessing.
Dam it auto correct.
I'm running a 9kg Worker spring. No issues yet, 5 months in.
I've heard it's not as much the springload that breaks it, but rather the rate of fire. If the gearbox doesn't reset fully before the next shot it destroys itself.
