Blazers as trade partners?

I come in peace as a Blazers fan, and I feel like we have similar team narratives this year: solid young talent that hasn't performed up to expectations. I'm curious how you view Portland as a potential trade partner, and what your team's biggest needs are. We are definitely in need of a big man who can defend the paint and/or score inside with some consistency. Having blown our shot at acquiring Miles Plumlee and some great memes, who else might fit that bill…Monroe? Henson? We could also use wing depth having just lost Evan Turner for over a month, but with Jabari having just gone down I could see how that might not work for you.

Blazers currently hold two first round picks in the next draft, ours and Cleveland, but no second rounders. Moving forward beyond 2017 we own all our first round picks but nobody else's and all our second rounders plus a Cleveland 2020 2nd rounder and a Miami 2021 second rounder.

Thanks in advance, love your team a lot and Giannis is a joy to watch.

You may want Greg, he's a good scorer and puts defensive effort in now. Trust me, you don't want Henson. He's not good at anything and has a flat ass

LOL well if there's one thing I don't want it's a flat ass. Big butts get box outs. We've tried to sign and trade for Monroe in the past, I think general Blazer consensus is he could help our team but probably not be a needle mover.

I'd love to do Henson for Ezeli but there's no way I can think of to get salaries to match. Ezeli/Davis maybe?

Monroe for a lotto-protected first would be fantastic too, wouldn't need to be 2017s either.

I thought Henson was ok? Cause Henson for Ezeli sounds amazing to me, but I admit I haven't been able to catch as much NBA this year as previous years.

Yes, Henson is awesome. Please petition your GM to get that trade done.

I mean Ezeli hasn't played a single minute for us and is out for the rest of the year, after which he has a team option for next year only. So…yeah I still might be ok with that.

IDK. I'm not sure Henson brings anything to your team Ed Davis or Mason Plumlee don't already.

Monroe for Allen Crabbe straight up works. This is a deal that could be made assuming Blazers want more cap space in the future, since Monroe enters FA either after this season or after next season. And the Bucks get a wing which they could need and make Tony Snell expendable.

Of course, that leaves the Blazers thin on the wing, so maybe add in a Snell for Vonleh or Plumlee swap. IDK, adding Plumlee seems to make the deal skewed way in favor of the Bucks, but Vonleh isn't worth much. Maybe Vonleh and a 2nd round pick would be nice. Monroe and Snell for Crabbe, Vonleh, and a 2nd round pick.

Of course, this only works if Portland doesn't want to keep Crabbe. He seems nice, it just is his contract I can see Portland wanting to get out of, especially with what they are paying ET.
