OGR (One Game Review) #1 - Tony Amonte Hero Card

I figured I'd start this little series on here. I don't think anyone else has done this before. In this series, I play ONE GAME with a certain player and give a review on that player. This is loosely based on the One Bite with Davey Pageviews videos, if any of you are familiar with that series.

I played this game with Amonte in D2 against (in my opinion) a fairly decent opponent. I won the game 5-4. Amonte was on the second line with Gaudreau on the LW and Toews holding down the C spot. Amonte was also on PP2, 4PP2, PK1 and 3PK1. He put up 2 goals, 0 assists, 0 PIM, and a 0 +/-. I have OJ, NP, and CG active for Amonte, so these ratings will reflect that.

Skating: 9.5/10. Amonte had great speed and acceleration stats and that definitely showed in game. Can absolutely wheeeeeel 200 feet and create a great scoring opportunity. Not Bure fast, but very very fast. He also does not get knocked off the puck easily, which is a great asset to have.

Shooting: 9.5/10. SNIPE SHOW.

Hands: 9/10. Amonte can pass where you want him to. Although he doesn't have late 2000s Datsyukian dangles, his hands can keep up with his feet. Great when weaving through defenders.

Checking/Defense: 8.5/10. Call this man a PT Cruiser because he's nothing but a bruiser cruiser. ;) Dude can lay you out with his 6'0", 197 pound frame. He may not be a Chara, but he certainly can leave the Franklin branding on his equipment engraved on your chest. As for defense, his 94 defensive awareness should speak for itself.

Hope you guys enjoyed, let me know what you think about continuing this series!
