WWWV Jeremiah Cole, owner of The Killing Floor
Character Name: Jeremiah Cole
Base of Operations: The Killing Floor
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Tier: Echo
Background
The owner of a large factory in a rundown nameless town somewhere in America, where most of the people were poor and on the verge of destitution. He provided work for the townsmen, in exchange for enough cash to keep them alive... barely. But the work was grueling and more than a few of his workers died there, either ill from the conditions, caught in machines, or simply worked to death; earning the factory it's legacy as 'The Killing Floor'. One day, the workers had enough. Grabbing barrels of kerosene and matches, they lit the factory alight and danced around the flames, enjoying the first taste of freedom in a long while.
Jeremiah saw the smoke from his home and ran back to the factory, screaming in horror. The factory was the only thing keeping the town alive, and in burning it down the workers had doomed their community in more ways than one. Not only was it the only source of income, but the factory was also residing over a large underground oil reservoir. Just as the men realized their mistake and ran back in to try to quell the flames, a deafening boom and a white light encased the entire town. The entire town vanished on the day of the white event, never to be seen again....
Until a mysterious building was spotted in the middle of nowhere, the walls charred black and the windows shattered. The Killing Floor is open for business once more.
Personality: Jeremiah is a businessman through and through. Charity is a concept for the poor to beg for and for the foolish rich to provide. If you're not willing to make a deal with him or if you're not worthy of being a competitor, you're nothing to him.
General Description: An old man, you wouldn't be at fault in thinking Jeremiah weak. But he stands with a stance that demands respect, if not anything else. Dressed in a suit and tie, a walking cane by his side and a top-hat on his head, he's the spitting image of a Victorian-era entrepreneur. His eyes hide the bitterness and fury of years wasted, and his thin lips are often pulled back in a sneer. However, he's never one to show weakness or fragility.
Powers
He's mentally linked to The Killing Floor, seeing and hearing all that goes on within the walls as well as having control over any and all machinery, doors, and windows inside. Additionally, he can project his voice from any point inside the building, and can make people feel they're being watched.
Additionally; as long as the Killing Floor exists, so does he. If he's killed, but the area is still The Killing Floor (as defined on The Killing Floor's page), the next non-meta or non-mage to step foot inside the grounds begins to feel a compulsion or desire to venture further inwards. Over the next hour, their mind is slowly but surely converted into Jeremiah's, and upon an hour passing, their body morphs into his and they are gone forever, replaced by Jeremiah. The compulsion will feel like a nagging at the back of the head, like natural curiosity at first. As time passes it becomes more obsessive and noticeable. If two people are on the grounds, only the first is affected, and the second can easily notice the compulsion in the later stages and attempt to forcibly remove the first before the process is complete.
Standard Gear
Jeremiah has no special equipment so to speak, save for a single iron key he drops upon death. This key unlocks all doors within The Killing Floor, but it crumbles to dust upon exiting the grounds.
Weaknesses
In terms of strength, speed, durability, and reaction times, he's about as strong, fast, durable, and alert as... well, an old man. Also, he's a sucker for cash and business. If you enter and claim you want to make a deal, he'll be with you almost instantly.
