Hey r/boardgames help my group and I get into non-coop board games.
To put simply, I have bought all the top co-op board games I can get my hands on and have to say it's my favorite style of play for my group and I. That being said, I have read tons of great reviews on many other games that I would think my group and I want to play but have some reservations and am looking for some first hand accounts.
I want a solid board game that:
- You don't necessarily know you are going to win until the very end. (This is very important)
- Not terribly complex
I am aware of many of the intro-level board games but I am not sure of what does or does not fit my first criteria. Any suggestions would be very appreciated and if you could address my first point and do a light explanation I would be very grateful. I have read reviews of popular games that say you can have a good idea of who will win a good deal before the game "ends", I wish to avoid this at all costs. Right now I have my eye on Santorini.
