What can you use Magma blocks for in Modded Minecraft?

Are there any mods that add uses for Magma blocks? At the moment the only use that I can find for them is using them to accidentally set yourself on fire or for killing mobs, can you use them for heat in Crossroads for example? Are they part of any crafting recipes?
