No, ndad. If you look long enough for something, you'll find it NOT BECAUSE YOU PRAYED TO ST ANTHONY

[Rant/Vent]

This is a rant because I saw another post about praying and now my jimmies are rustled remembering other stuff.

My dad is an extreme roman catholic. Abortion is murder, mass at christmas morning, shouting at us about sex ed at school

Now I know I sound very anti religious, although I am, I do fundementally believe that everyone has a right to their beliefs. If you similar beliefs to my dad/follow catholicism I fully respect that. The issue with my dad is spending my whole life trying to indoctrinate me and my bros. Ramming all his beliefs down our throats. We have to believe it OR ELSE.

okay so whenever we were kids/teens, if something was lost/couldnt find it. We HAD to pray to st anthony (patron saint of lost things) and thatll will magically make it appear.

Not because we searched high and low. Tearing our shit hole of a house apart which WE'D have to clean after and if its not done wed get shouted at/hit.

No because we had to pray to st anthony and we have no one to thank but him.

Even though its only a matter time we find something, cus thats how looking for something works

Even after an hour of searching and finding it.

No thanks omgthrowaway, or thanks omgs bro

Its 'seeee I TOLD YOU! IT WORKS EVERYTIME! I WAS RIGHT! ST ANTHONY WORKS!'

and we're sat there, crying for being shouted at because we couldnt find the one specific top my mum wanted to wear (im not joking. Shed fixate on one top to wear that day and WE had to find it. She get moody the clothes werent sorted and my dad would order us to do it. Shed say its a blue top. Wed get every blue top and show her. Then she finds this grey top and goes 'there it is!!') And we'd have to reclean the room

Fuck you and your fucking st anthony!!

Rant over, thank you for reading <3
