swollen ankle/foot

Had ACL and MCL surgery on 1/30. my foot and ankle is still SO swollen. Is this normal? I have not started PT. my doctor wanted to wait until my knee swelling went down and he will see next week if the swelling went down and will clear me for PT. besides my knee swollen my ankle and foot is so swollen i cant even get shoes on =/

also, he said by next week if the swelling doesn't go down he will drain my knee from fluid, is this normal?
