Finally got a decent radio
I have started tiny whooping a few weeks ago and because this was my first contact with flying quads I bought the rtf version of inductrix. Today I got a normal TX - the Spektrum Dx6.
I wish I had it earlier... The stock radio just led to frustration and made the learning much harder. I mean sure I was able to control the whoop more or less, but the precision of the dx6 compared to the stock radio is just a day to night difference! Everything is just so smooth and direct. Love it!
Still this isn't a TW - I'm flying LOS because I'm waiting for my fpv gear from China.
Additionally I have to admit that there is not a single part from the original inductrix:
- Frame broke on the second day - fixed it and got a few e010 frames as replacement.
- Got faster motors from mmw
- Triblade props and e010 props that came with the frames
- Mylipo batteries to have some flight time
- beebrain instead of the stock FC.
So... I've spend a lot on the Inductrix rtf, then build everything from scratch and now got a new radio as well to finally get some fun out of it. At the end of the day I could have saved some money by skipping the first step and would still have the same build.
TL;DR Imho if you're starting, get a good radio instead of a rtf version or even better build everything from scratch.
