Had to turn her away.

RANT

24yo female yoga instructor, here. I recently had a pregnant student come into my classroom. Although yoga is a great way to stay in shape while your body is increasing its volume by almost 50%, I'm not a prenatal yoga teacher. This hopeful and very nice lady tried to tell me that she knew her own body and was comfortable with coming to class regardless of my lack of credibility. I had to be honest and tell her the answer was NO. Nobody wants to turn a student away, but I had to do it in this case for her own safety and for mine. Someone who knows what her body is going through will serve her in a safer manner than I can. My answer was disappointing to her, but, I have no intention of being a prenatal yoga teacher. I am not going to become pregnant - now, or ever! This baffles some. But, they have no idea how much my empty uterus, tight pink parts, and flat tummy bring me joy. Namaste.
