Alts for crafting

Hey there.

So I've started this game today, and I like to do all the crafting, if possible, in every game I play. And then my question is: how many alts do I need to level up all the crafting skills? Any suggestions?

I thought of getting Provisioning with my main character because of the bonuses you get from the talents, but I thought that I might prefer to get the gathering skills.

Any help is appreciated :)
