Where does it say that the warranty is to the person and not the Grasshopper unit?
On GHL website, the only mention I find of the lifetime warranty states "Designed and built in the USA, the Grasshopper carries a lifetime warranty."
In addition, under their Terms of Use:
"Warranty Service
In order to receive warranty service, you must register your device on ghvape.com. Devices that have been registered to another account or have not been registered will not receive warranty service."
Having only these two descriptions, I understand that the Grasshopper unit itself carries the warranty. Obviously, we know now that this is not the case - the warranty is tied to the individual and cannot be transferred.
Is there any additional documentation anyone has seen? I am opening a paypal dispute to get my money back. I've spent the past month sending my hopper back to GHL 3 times now and today will be the forth time.
I intend to open my dispute with the documentation of my constant and repeated warranty claims (I literally have not be able to use this hopper since the day I received it) and I want to make sure that paypal understands that I have done everything in my power to negotiate a mutually beneficial resolution...
such as offering to sell my hopper at a reduced price to someone else more willing. However, GHL customer service told me that the warranty is non transferable despite all documentation on the warranty never stating that.
The unit will be returned to GHL with confirmation and return receipt.
