It's been over a month since I've given an update and over a month since I've logged in. Things have been pretty crazy here with classes. I talked it over with my parents and they agreed to pay for me to transfer to the 4-year university with my brother, but I had to get as many classes as I could done at the community college that would transfer so they can save money. So my class load is currently 19 credit hours. I need to take classes during the summer too if I want to attend in the fall. Needless to say, I'm pretty busy.

Nightly Skype calls are not as common anymore, but they still happen multiple times a week. Sometimes we just call and chat for a little bit and then stay on the call as we do homework. It's a good feeling to just look and see him there.

We got together last weekend when the university had a siblings weekend. We used it as a good excuse with our parents for me to visit and tour my future campus. When I got there though, he introduced me to his friends as his girlfriend. We talked about that and did a lot of prep... I'm wondering if someone that's been in the same situation has had to go through this.

Basically, it feels like we're living double lives. We can't go around telling people we are dating and brother and sister. So we need to hide the fact that we're brother and sister from his friends in college and hide the fact that we're dating from our family and friends back home. He ended up deleting his Facebook (that he didn't use that often anyway), and I scrubbed my Facebook from any mention of him (as my brother). I even changed my last name on Facebook.

We have one major issue in that I think my dad knows or at least suspects something. I have no proof, just a feeling. I also get the feeling that he wants me to know that he knows and that he's okay with it. It's hard to explain that part, but I just get that feeling whenever he looks at me.

Anyway, back to the siblings weekend, no sex happened, but a lot of walking around holding hands and a little playful kissing. It was nice to act like a real couple in public for once. My next fear is someone from our hometown recognizing us. The university is close enough to us that a large percentage of our classmates have ended up there. It's hard to say who knows both of us well enough to identify us as brother and sister though. I'm wondering if anyone that has been through this could offer their experience with this worry and maybe what's happened if they were recognized.

edit: Forgot to mention a conversation we had. I read in Cosmo once that you have to talk about your relationship status when you start dating. So we had that conversation when I was with him last weekend. We both decided that neither of us would date anyone else and that we would be exclusive with one another. That was a great feeling when we decided that. I love him with all my heart and I hope that we can spend the rest of our lives together.
