Has botting really become this big?

Hello fellow maplers, I have been playing this game for 8/9 years. (started in Ems, now luna ofc.) today i saw a Video ranting about botters and i thought it would bei about all those meso sellers and that's it. But so many replied with comments like "i bot because..." and i was shocked of how accepting people were. Has it really become this big? Back in Ems it was not perfect but nobody would admit that they were botting. Only a few were known for botting and eventually got banned later on. Now it seems like people are botting on their Mains to grind faster ?? Was i that blind or/and were the people around me the only legit players?
