[Question]Cleaning dirty pots?

Hey everyone! My Taylor T5 seems to have a dirty volume pot. I get random crackles all the way around the pot, not just in one specific place. This has happened before, and I had my local Taylor guitar tech fix it for me, but he's no longer around, and I'd like to learn how to do it myself anyways. What's the best way to go about cleaning a dirty potentiometer?
