Confused about data blending and joins

I have many tables in one database. Some of the tables are at a deeper level of detail but I want to aggregate them rather than having my data duplicate entries for the higher level table. I don't see an option to blend the data since I assume it's from the same database. How can I remove the columns that are unique in the deeper table so they can aggregate.
