AMD and Steam Issues

Hey fellow linux gamers, Im in a tough spot when it comes to gaming. Im running KDE neon and mesa 17 on an AMD 390. Steam apps dont consistently load. Once an app crashes once, it refuses to launch even after a reinstall of steam and the game. On top of that im getting visual artifacts whenever steam runs. I don't have these issues in Unity on Ubuntu 16.04, but everywhere else i have problems. Any fixes?
