Traumatic Bullying Childhood Memory
The day my grandfather died I wanted to get out of the house and away from my mother so I took the dog for a walk. When I got to the park there were 2 girls there with another dog without a leash. I didn't know them but they knew me. There was a routine we did with the dog that I was trying to follow, which is to do a certain circuit and let the dog off the leash. One of the girls started screaming at me for letting the dog off the leash because her dog was in heat and she didn't want to get it pregnant. I didn't believe her but I leashed my dog any way and tried to ignore them. They followed me. They were harassing me, asking me a bunch of invasive questions. At first I ignored it, then I started giving snarky sarcastic retorts the girl was too stupid to understand. Then the girl grabbed my ponytail and pulled it so I fell to the ground. I wanted to fucking kill her. But she was younger than me, the same age as my sister, and I was practically an adult (15). I started getting her and her friend confused because I hadn't been looking directly at them and I didn't know them, and the other girl started saying it wasn't her fault, she wasn't doing anything. They were still following me. Eventually I stupidly scream at them that my grandfather had died that day. The evil girl started saying she was glad she was dead, and that she wished that the rest of my family would die. Both my parents are disabled, and my dad was chronically ill my entire life - he died when I was 19. Then they left. I was in a worse state than when I left the house. When I got home I went straight to bed - it was 12pm.
I never told anyone about what happened. I didn't even like my grandfather, he was an alcoholic.
Side note: I think later in the day or the next day, I ran into a friend from school at the local supermarket. She asked how I was dying, I told her my grandfather had died. Her response was basically 'Wow, that's a conversation killer'. I don't talk to anyone from my home town anymore.
