[College Physics] Finding Torque on a Loop
A round loop of wire carries a current of 100 A, has a radius of 10 cm, and its plane makes an angle of 30 degrees with a magnetic field of 0.524 T.
- What is the torque on the loop?
- I was able to get this answer, 0.8 Nm. 2)What is the torque on the loop if the angle decreases to 10 degrees?
- This is where I a stuck. I keep applying Torque = iABsin(theta) just like in the previous problem and keep changing it to 10 degrees instead of 30. The answer I keep coming to is 0.27 or 0.3 Nm and according to my Homework is incorrect. Could someone please explain what I am doing wrong or what formula I may not be using??
