Kodi

I was watching a show about Kodi. In it they were saying it can be hacked to change your stream and see if you are home and get your files from your computer. All of this only if they have your IP.

I was curious if this is actually true/a concern. Especially curious if someone uses an Android TV box if this is an issue and/or if they use a vpn.
