[Serious] Since it is off season, /r/NFL should do something productive. Why not raise issue of driving safety? Too many NFL players are posting selfie videos on their social media and not focusing on the road.

Serious

I think as a reddit community, we can do something productive over the NFL off-season.

I have been following many player's social media account, it's great they are spending time and travel with their friends and family.

However, way too many of them are posting selfie videos of themselves driving and looking at the camera... This is seriously stupid and dangerous not only to themselves but also others on the road. I bet many of you have seen these kinds of videos. Their favorite song is on and they sing along while holding their phone filming themselves singing while simultaneously driving on the road...

What is even more shocking is the amount of players not putting on their seat belt...

I know many people will tell me to mind my own business but this is a serious issue. I am not naming names of the offenders. I just want the media and the NFL organizations to know about this issue and maybe address it.

Just recently, former UC alumni and Rams RB Isaiah Pead had a car crash and had *one of his leg amputated.. He was thrown from the car because he didn't wear a seat belt..

Things like this shouldn't be happening anymore.

Edit: correction on Pead's injury.
