[Breeds] any guesses on our mutt? Lab mix?

Here's an album. I swear every picture I take looks like a different dog. We thought he was a lab/pit mix but his vet said he has Pyrenees in him because he has hind dewclaws. I have absolutely no clue. He seems very lanky. The pictures of him walking look like he's pulling but it's just that my partner had stopped moving - he walks like that any time we're on a trail or path. He's exciteable but not super high energy, and only stays interested in fetch for a few throws before he wanders off with the ball. He's also very cuddly, but will move over to the other side of the couch and play with his toys if we stop actively petting him. We've had him for 3 weeks as of today (still watching lost dog ads and haven't taken any of my found dog posts down, but no replies or word from the shelter) - he's become very calm and has been quite easy to work with. He now knows sit, crate, easy, stay, the beginnings of leave it and recalls well. He also knows "where's your ball" and other silly things.

He's estimated to be ~8-10 months old now, and weighs around 45 pounds (I can't remember the exact number ahhh)

Eventually I'd like to get a DNA test but for now I'm just curious as to what others think!
