I'm becoming VERY concerned. If you know anything about this, please help.

I have heard multiple things in my apartment fall and have heard footsteps. My washing machine was seemingly on, but I went to check if it was, and it wasn't. I heard a cough come from the closet in my room, and no one is home except me.

does anyone know what I can do?
