Been sick for about a week or so. Tinnitus develops. Should I see a doctor?

I woke up with a sudden ringing/roaring in my left ear just now. It is pretty painful. I had a fever that went away (maybe two days ago) now all I have is a sore throat and swollen glands. I wonder if this tinnitus is a result of that, or a sign of more serious health-related problems. Should I go see a doctor?
