Slant Curious PIF: and the winner is ...

Before I reveal the winner, I'd like to thank all the participants, and all who stopped by to offer their good wishes and warm welcomes. They were appreciated.

I'd also like to give a tip of the hat to u/RaggedClaws/ whose own PIF was the direct inspiration for this one.

Please indulge me a bit more. I'm an old geek, one who would no doubt have a grey neckbeard if my chiseled jawline weren't baby-butt smooth. I used punch cards and acoustic modems back when those were state of the art. Which is to say, I have had occasion to witness pretty much the whole history of the internet (sans its very inception). I still remember where I was (IBM Software Development Lab, Boca Raton, FL) when I first saw a browser (Mosaic). The modern internet is both more and so much less than what I expected. Too much of it has devolved into competing echo chambers hurling insults at one another.

It is refreshing to have found this outpost of civilized discussion, banter, and camaraderie. This sub is a credit to its users and moderators. It is a genuine pleasure to spend time with you.

The lucky winner is u/Dreadnaught_179. Please PM me with shipping details.
