Trouble blocking with Lawbringer?

So I'm currently prestige 1, level 9 on lawbringer and I can't block vs. peacekeepers for crap. I don't really mean for this to be a complaint post, but am I just bad? What can I do as a lawbringer to beat a peacekeeper? I also struggle with berserkers and wardens. Any advice would be very appreciated.
