Aristotle Predicted Days Like These
There are many great thinkers of long ago and recent history who had their opposition to the way academics were handled in their times. They believed in some cases learning had been deteriorated and made trite and rote, something not akin to how teaching was done in the past as a way to educate through emotional attachment using theatre and the like.
.
This is not limited to happenings here, but rather society as a whole. Our times have not resolved the age old question of how academics can be made more inspiring for the soul, especially when many contemporaries feel that it has lost its way and does not fully educate its constituents who pay hefty financial and temporal costs to be educated. Not all classes must be in the humanities (that's absurd ofc), but at the very least people on both sides should be aware of the underlying problems and allow open and civil discourse. At times, deeper issues may hide behind superficial beginnings, but if one looks past and analyze if there exists a related question we should all we asking, then maybe there lies the true criticism. There is much to expand and discuss regarding this topic, but because class is starting soon I will leave it here.
.
There have been many cases of this in the past at this school, but nothing so public or new in the last year. I hope that this issue (which it should be) will be resolved amicably for the time being, but a much deeper discussion about the current state of affairs must be addressed and expounded upon later on.
.
And yes, I'm talking in relation to the 6B "drama".
.
UPDATE: As I thought, things been have handled amicably.
