Question about a questionable seller (Georgia)

My fiancé and I found a home that at first glance really liked. We made an offer to the seller and the following has occurred.

  1. Agreed upon a price but the seller wanted to use his lawyer to hold EMD and for us to use his lender. We eventually got to use our own lenders and have our realtor firm hold the money.
  2. Seller wanted a 7 day due diligence period. We pushed for more time but they would not budge, so we got the inspection scheduled and completed along with termite inspection.
  3. Inspector found nail holes in the roof, some water seepage in the crawlspace, nonworking HVAC units, and the vent for the dryer leading into the ground (which is a fire hazard). Also found a hole in the home about a half dollar in size in the vinyl siding.
  4. Pest inspector found some mild termite damage
  5. We ask for 5 more days of due diligence to discuss repairs or other options.
  6. The seller now tells us that there are some other people looking at the home to buy.
  7. Awaiting to see if seller will extend due diligence and make appropriate repairs to this home.

This leads me to a few questions. Now knowing all this from the inspection, does the seller have to disclose this to the next buyer should we back out? Does this whole situation seem odd or fishy? And finally, if the seller who has been pushy from the start refuses any repairs, can we as past potential buyers use the possibility of making the inspection report public as leverage as he did not originally disclose any of these issues to us. Thanks in advance
