[question] trouble with gyms since update

anyone else not able to initiate battle since the update? I can select my team but when I press Go it just takes me to the arena screen and nothing else happens. I've tried at least a dozen different gyms and it's starting to get infuriating just watching all my gyms fall without being able to take them back.
