Criminal background (SDE intern)

I recently accepted an internship with a tropical technology giant based in Seattle. I'm thrilled about it but am slightly concerned about failing their background check. I have two misdemeanors from a cyber crime incident which occurred about 15 months ago. If it makes any difference, I voluntarily confessed to the crime. I never lied about this information, it just never really came up during the application process. Is this going to be a problem?
