Murky's Fake Egg

Yesterday, I learned that neutral mercenaries will target the fake egg, which not only absorbs damage for Murky, but also casts Slime for him when it dies. I'm not sure if that's an intended interaction, but it seems like Fake Egg might be the better "merc talent" even over A Fishy Deal, since he doesn't have to build it up over time.
