Is it normal to use lots of resonance on nearly every patch I make?
I dunno I just feel like most of the bubbly, warm, organicism in a synth comes from those moving peaks. Like 50+% almost always. Lower-res patches, in my experience, risk sounding too 'computery' or eye-rollingly 80s or cold-but-not-in-the-chasing-that-aesthetic way. The only exception that immediately comes to mind is a really spiky sawtooth bass.
Whether it's rounding out dulcet keys or saturating basslines, I can't get enough of that res. Is it just my specific synths? Am I missing something?
