Do the pros of pre-workout outweigh the cons?

note: this shit gets graphic.

Hi all, a week or two ago I tried some of my friends pre-workout for the first time. Fuck me was that an experience.

He gives me two and a half scoops of this stuff, and its vile. It also has 200mg of caffeine per scoop, so ~500mg of caffeine. Downed it and hit the gym. All was okay until about an hour into the session. I hit a squat pb and was like fuck me this is good, so I worked in some deadlifts and hit a strong pb for that too. I was tingling and face spiders were there too.

And then I crashed. I felt goddamn awful. My head hurt, and the only thing I can compare it to is having a nasty hangover but still being a little tipsy. I felt like I was going to throw up for hours, I was pale and all that.

So I didn't touch that again. Today my gymbro let me have a scoop of his MP brand PW. 150mg of caffeine. Felt a lot better and not a bad crash. Had a sick arm session, and went a lot harder than usual with a lot more effort.

An hour after getting home I went to the toilet and I swear to God it was like opening a flood gate of blue liquid ass. 20 minutes later of passing my liquidised colon into the sewer system, I felt all normal again and have been in bed since planning next weeks meal preps.

So, is this normal and should I keep taking it or is my body just not capable of handling this kinda stuff? Will my body get used to it and not all pass it out of my butt an hour after my session in its entirety + the liquidised chicken and rice I had for lunch?

Thanks, and sorry for being graphic ;)

e: we have come to conclusion that my friend is a cuck, and he won't be trusted with my medications when I'm old and frail. Everyone has seemed to point out that 2.5x the recommended dosage is stupid, but only one or two comments have addressed why I'm getting side-effects even with a much weaker and less dosage of a different PW. Oh well, I'll stick to coffee.
