Mystery fiber!

Cross posted on r/whatisthisthing Can anyone help me identify this box of fiber? I found it with a bunch of spinning and weaving supplies, but I don't think it's wool... The fibers are fairly short, soft, and easy to separate, and seem like some sort of animal fur. http://m.imgur.com/uqx1CeE http://m.imgur.com/BdsYpgr
