Planning a road trip to and around Oregon! Any suggestions on great, lesser known places to see?

My wife and I are planning a road trip out to Oregon at the end of March. Well be in the state for about a week and are looking for fun things to do!

We're starting by spending a day in Portland. We'll be stopping at Opal Creek, Cape Perpetua, Bandon, Umpqua Nat'l park and crater lake, and probably head into CA to see redwoods and Glass Beach. We plan on camping at several of these places.

Do you folks have any suggestions on neat things to see or do either near or on the way to and from these places? Any advice for making this road trip as fun as possible?

We look forward to visiting your beautiful state! :)
