Pixel heating up abnormally

I've just received my pixel 2 days ago and so far I've been loving the experience. The problem is that sometimes it's been getting pretty warm for no apparent reason. An example would be when I'm using the reddit app or google chrome. These apps shouldn't be causing my phone to heat up as if i was playing high intensity games. I also had a case where it started heating up when it was in my pocket. I lost 5% battery during the time span of half an hour when I wasn't even using the phone. Should I be concerned about this? Is there any solution to this problem?
