New Mexico Armor - What Gives?

Just got the New Mexico and was checking it out. Hit the armor layout option in port and was shocked to see it is 99% just 25MM armor for the hull. That can't be right. What is a BB doing with a 25MM hull and no stronger belt armor sections?

The WG Wiki page says the following about it...

New Mexico continues with the tradition of American battleships up to this point. She's slow but armored like, well, a battleship.>

and this...

The battleship was armored according to the "all or nothing" concept, with the citadel being reliably protected and located in the center of the hull.>

and this...

Very thick belt armor. >

and this...

All-or nothing armor: she has an all-or-nothing armor scheme that is one of the most resilient in the game, providing a large immune zone when angled. >

I don't think having the majority of the hull @ just 25MM makes it resilient, immune, protected citadel, etc... Also where is this "very thick belt armor" they speak of? I don't see one like the Germans have or even the Japanese have. The only thing I see is decent turret armor and a 110MM deck over top of citadel area which can help some with plunging shells. From the side this thing is weak. No wonder I kept citadeling NM's with my NY during the grind.

I can see showing your broadside AT ALL in this, even to cruisers, is a death sentence. When they use the term "all or nothing" I guess it is nothing with the NM.

Sorry, just ranting. Very disappointed that after the grind the low gun range and slow speed are not the worst of my concerns. I have to worry I am in a glass BB now. LOL
