If someone tried introducing Alcohol into today's consumer market, and no one had ever heard of it or it's side effects before, it wouldn't last a week before being labeled as poison and banned.

It's hilarious to think what would happen if someone tried introducing "Alcohol " to modern society today, which had never seen it before. I have a feeling they would be put in prison for trying to kill people. There would be a massive investigation into its side effects and how easily a person can become becomes addicted to it. The alcohol induced rage which a lot of people exhibit would alone class it as an antisocial drug. Plus, it's literally fucking poison.
